Stories from the Stage is your opportunity to hear from brilliant community projects and inspirational individuals making positive things happen where they live. This session we’ll be talking to…
Kirsty Leahy
After having spent 15 years in commercial radio and winning a National Commercial Radio Award for a Social Action Initiative, Kirsty moved to BBC CWR in January of this year. Whilst at home during Covid – Kirsty and her fellow board Directors at Visit Banbury CIC came up with Circle of Kindness.
Valerie Wood-Gaiger
As a proud great-granny, Valerie is passionate about making the most of time spent with grandchildren (and great grandchildren). Yet this closeness also highlights the increasing divide between generations – something she thinks has been intensified by the digital revolution. In response, Valerie wants to use this wonderful technology to bring generations together, and so, in 2003, she started ‘Learn with Grandma’.
Sarah Bird
Sarah once ran Bath’s Timebank; she’s now CEO of Timebanking UK, the national timebanking charity. Timebanking unlocks everyone’s potential in a way that’s unique.
